National Shortage of ADHD medicine

There is currently a national shortage of ADHD medicines in the UK. The affected medicines include methylphenidate prolonged-release capsules & tablets, lisdexamfetmine capsules, guanfacine prolonged-release capsules & tablets & Atomoxetine. The shortage is expected to last until December 2024 due to manufacturing issues & increased global demand.

We would advise to speak with your local pharmacies to check on their availability before you request your medication with us and if the local pharmacies are unable to fill your next prescription then please contact your ADHD clinic to discuss replacement. This will ensure you do not have to wait for your medication longer than necessary.
